You can click on the web map and zoom to selected features or locations, to see the information contained in over a thousand electronic charts of NOAA-charted waters. Each zoom moves you through an ENC depiction that takes into account the ENC scale and other attributes that are encoded in the ENC, allowing features to become visible or invisible as you seamlessly zoom in and out of the data.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<em>NOAA ENC Online is based on Esri&#8217;s\u00a0Maritime Chart Server.<\/em><br \/>\nNow this latest release of <a title=\"NOAA ENC Online\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov\/ENCOnline\/enconline.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NOAA ENC Online<\/a> lets you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set a shallow and deep depth contour, which changes the shading to those parameters<\/li>\n<li>Set a safety contour (In electronic charting systems, the safety contour is set based on the ship\u2019s draft changes the depiction of rocks, wrecks and obstructions to isolated dangers depending on if the water is \u201csafe\u201d or \u201cunsafe\u201d for vessel navigation.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/enconline-safety-contour.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1782\" src=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/enconline-safety-contour.png\" alt=\"ENConline Safety contour\" width=\"691\" height=\"402\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change between <a title=\"S-52\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iho.int\/srv1\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=337&amp;Itemid=416\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">S-52<\/a> simplified and S-52 traditional symbols<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/combined.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1783\" src=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/combined.jpg\" alt=\"combined\" width=\"738\" height=\"406\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change the background colors of the display based on the S-52 color palette for different light conditions on the bridge of a ship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/enconline-color-palette.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1784\" src=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/enconline-color-palette.png\" alt=\"ENConline color palette\" width=\"733\" height=\"436\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn off certain features based on different categories such as buoys and traffic routes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/enconline-layers-switching-on-and-off.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1785\" src=\"http:\/\/noaacoastsurvey.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/enconline-layers-switching-on-and-off.png\" alt=\"ENConline layers switching on and off\" width=\"764\" height=\"440\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #b7489c;\"><strong>NOAA ENC Online is not certified for navigation.
