Hello Coast Survey,

I have found that an advantage of working remotely is the opportunity to participate in webinars - whether as a presenter or a member of the audience - that cover topics I am passionate about but also topics I would like to explore further. I also appreciate learning when members of Coast Survey utilize this type of platform to educate on our mission, share the latest happenings on our projects, and provide outreach in general. Here are a few webinars (upcoming or recorded) that might interest you:

Industry Role in Seabed 2030, Thursday, June 11, 8:30 a.m. (EDT) - Hosted by the Marine Technology Society, this webinar is open to the public and features several familiar faces (including myself, Capt. Craig McLean, Dr. Richard Spinrad) as we dive deep into the Seabed 2030 project and what it will take to achieve the goal of mapping the global seafloor.

An autonomous approach to ocean mapping: A USM, Saildrone, and NOAA collaboration, Thursday, June 18, 1 p.m. (EDT) - Hosted by Coast Survey, this webinar is open to the public and focuses on the latest Saildrone collaboration with USM and Coast Survey. Register here.

Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) 2020 seminar series, monthly - Hosted by IOCM, this webinar series features speakers to reinvigorate multi-agency mapping, management, and technological program awareness. View the latest presentation, Living shipwrecks: Creating 3D visualizations of fish and reefs with echo sounder data with Chris Taylor and Avery Paxton from NOAA's National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science.

NOAA Live! Webinars (#NOAALive4Kids), weekly - Hosted by Woods Hole Sea Grant, these webinars target school-aged students and feature NOAA subject matter experts. You can watch webinars recorded this past spring including Uncovering the Seafloor: Charting Alaska's Waters, with Lt. j.g. Michelle Levano and Pete Holmberg, as well as Helping Big Ships Bring Goods into Port So You Can Have What You Need with Kyle Ward and Louis Licate.
