Hello Coast Survey,
Thank you to everyone who attended our all hands meeting either in person or via phone yesterday. Thank you also to Katie Ries, deputy director of Coast Survey, and Craig Winn, HD charting portfolio manager, for helping to present. I have been working with the front office team during my time as acting director to investigate ways to open the band width for communicating the broader news and events happening around Coast Survey and create opportunities for you to ask questions of the leadership team. One thing we have heard from you is the need to better understand where you sit in our strategic plan and what our organizational objectives are. I hope the presentation at yesterday’s all hands moved us in that direction.
We are working to complete Coast Survey’s new 2020-2024 strategic plan for release by early January. You can expect to hear more about this year’s road map and activities your respective divisions will be undertaking in support of the strategic plan in the new calendar year.
