Hello Coast Survey,
Thank you for participating in our first completely virtual all hands meeting last week. We had 255 participants, which I consider a huge success. Presentation slides are available on Navigator and the Coast Survey Communications Google Site. As virtual-only meetings become the new normal for the foreseeable future, I appreciate your willingness to tune-in, engage, and use them as a way to improve communication and workflow among your colleagues.
As mentioned in our last newsletter, please continue to follow CDC, Department of Commerce, and NOAA guidelines regarding COVID-19. See the spotlight section below for resources.
In closing, I encourage you to read Nicole LeBouef’s recent blog post, Leadership and Empathy in Challenging Times (March 30). In it, she provides insight into the responsibility of leadership and of keeping the NOS workforce healthy and focused on executing our mission.

Take a few minutes to look at the story map of your NOAA colleagues. In Their Own Words: Women Doing NOAA's Work celebrates some of the women, past and present, who made important contributions to our agency in its 50 years, and who are building the foundations for great work we will do tomorrow.
The story map was produced by NOAA's new Women's Employee Resource Group with its newly elected co-chairs Jessica Snowden and Vernetta Fields.
